Omarchy

ProbeLabsviewing a historical run

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Known issueKI-MENU-MERGE-PROTOTYPE-IDS

mergeMenuSources stores prototype-named ids but drops them from itemOrder - the row is written and never rendered

OpenOpenLow

Low-severity issue, currently open.

Description

The issue as recorded.

mergeMenuSources' presence test !nextItems[entry.id] is truthy for inherited properties. An id like 'constructor' therefore skips the nextOrder push while the assignment still stores the row (F9). __proto__ additionally invokes the prototype setter. Later order-walks iterate itemOrder and never see the entry.

What protects you, and the fix

What limits your exposure today, and the planned remediation.

What protects you now

Requires a menu id colliding with an Object.prototype name; no shipped or documented menu uses such ids

The fix

use Object.hasOwn / hasOwnProperty for the presence test and a non-prototype map (Object.create(null)) for storage
