Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Universal Super+V does not paste in Codex desktop embedded terminalrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:23 UTC via poll

System details

  • Omarchy: 4.0.4-1
  • Codex desktop: openai-codex-desktop 26.915.31029-1
  • Wayland / Hyprland

What's wrong?

Omarchy's universal clipboard shortcut works in the Codex desktop chat/editor, but Super+V fails when focus is inside Codex's embedded terminal panel.

Codex is a single Electron window (class org.omarchy.agent), so Omarchy treats the whole window as a normal GUI application and sends Ctrl+V. Inside the embedded terminal, Ctrl+V is interpreted as terminal input and can produce ^V instead of pasting. The embedded terminal accepts a physical Ctrl+Shift+V.

Super+C works for copying both normal Codex text and selected embedded-terminal text with the current universal-copy mapping. The failure is specifically Super+V while the embedded terminal has focus.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Codex desktop on Omarchy.
  2. Open the embedded terminal panel.
  3. Copy plain text to the clipboard.
  4. Focus the embedded terminal prompt.
  5. Press Super+V.

Actual behavior

The clipboard is not pasted; the terminal may receive a literal ^V.

Expected behavior

Super+V should paste into the embedded terminal, matching Omarchy's documented universal clipboard behavior.

Notes

Ctrl+Shift+V works when pressed physically. A simple window-class override is insufficient because sending Ctrl+Shift+V to the whole Codex window would break paste in Codex's normal chat/editor fields. This may require focus-aware handling or coordination with the Codex desktop application. Even a documented application-specific solution would help.
