Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Window border glow color is never themedrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:24 UTC via poll

System details

Omarchy 4.0.2-1, Hyprland 0.56.2

What's wrong?

The Hyprland window border glow (decoration:glow) always renders Hyprland's hardcoded default color and never changes with the Omarchy theme.

Expected behaviour:

Glow should follow the theme accent, like general:col.active_border does.

To reproduce

  1. Disable border size and enable glow in hyprland config
  2. Change Omarchy theme
  3. . Look at a focused window's glow, it stays the default blue/pink

Cause

hyprland.lua.tpl only sets general.col.active_border / inactive_border (and group.col). Hyprland's decoration.glow has its own color / color_inactive fields, independent of the border color, so they never get themed.
