Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Horizontal top bar icons overlap when crowdedrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:24 UTC via poll

System details

  • Omarchy 4.0.1-1
  • 14-inch display, 1920 × 1200 at 1.25 scaling
  • Bar positioned at the top
  • 31 bar items: 4 left, 10 center, 17 right

What is wrong?

When the bar contains many items, icons from adjacent sections overlap and become difficult to read or click.

Expected behavior

Bar sections should remain separate and handle insufficient space without overlapping.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Position the bar at the top.
  2. Add enough bar items to fill its available width.
  3. Observe icons from adjacent sections overlapping.

This differs from #8540, which affects vertical bars.
