Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Some keybinds don't work with some keyboard layouts.revision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:24 UTC via poll

System details

Omarchy Quattro 4.0.1-1

What's wrong?

Different keyboard layouts have different keys in different positions. In some cases, some keys used in bindings cannot be triggered.

One example is the 1Password bind:

o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + SLASH", "Passwords", { omarchy = "1password" })

In my keyboard layout (Italian), that key does not exist, and I am unable to trigger the bind. To fix this, I suggest using key codes instead of names:

o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + code:61", "Passwords", { omarchy = "1password" })

with code:61 instead of SLASH.
