ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Migrate default Google agent integration from deprecated Gemini CLI to Antigravity (agy)revision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:24 UTC via poll

Summary

The current Gemini agent integration in Omarchy attempts to install and invoke the legacy @google/gemini-cli npm package via mise. This CLI and its consumer auth have been sunsetted and replaced by the Antigravity CLI (agy). As a result, selecting Gemini in Setup > Default > Agent fails during installation or fails to authenticate.

Current Behavior

  1. install/user/mise.sh runs omarchy-mise-install gemini, pulling the deprecated @google/gemini-cli package from npm.
  2. omarchy-default-agent gemini checks mise where gemini and fails when trying to install the deprecated package.
  3. omarchy-agent attempts to launch gemini --yolo with --prompt-interactive "$prompt".

Proposed Changes

To modernize the integration and restore native support:

  1. Agent Binary & Package Definition (`omarchy-default-agent` & `install/user/mise.sh`):
  • Replace the legacy gemini npm package target with the standalone Antigravity CLI (agy).
  • Allow binary discovery in ~/.local/bin/agy or update package stubs accordingly.
  1. Flag Updates (`omarchy-agent`):
  • agy uses --dangerously-skip-permissions instead of --yolo for unattended / auto-approval execution.
  • Interactive prompt passing via --prompt-interactive "$prompt" is supported by agy.
  1. Menu & Shell Defaults:
  • Update omarchy-menu.jsonc and omarchy-default-agent so agy / gemini points to Antigravity CLI.
  1. *Agent Usage Collector (`omarchy-agent-usage-`):**
  • Provide an agy collector reading from ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/history.jsonl and session state so the omarchy.agents bar widget populates metrics properly.

### Summary
The current Gemini agent integration in Omarchy attempts to install and invoke the legacy `@google/gemini-cli` npm package via `mise`. This CLI and its consumer auth have been sunsetted and replaced by the Antigravity CLI (`agy`). As a result, selecting Gemini in `Setup > Default > Agent` fails during installation or fails to authenticate.

### Current Behavior
1. `install/user/mise.sh` runs `omarchy-mise-install gemini`, pulling the deprecated `@google/gemini-cli` package from npm.
2. `omarchy-default-agent gemini` checks `mise where gemini` and fails when trying to install the deprecated package.
3. `omarchy-agent` attempts to launch `gemini --yolo` with `--prompt-interactive "$prompt"`.

### Proposed Changes
To modernize the integration and restore native support:

1. **Agent Binary & Package Definition (`omarchy-default-agent` & `install/user/mise.sh`):**
   - Replace the legacy `gemini` npm package target with the standalone Antigravity CLI (`agy`).
   - Allow binary discovery in `~/.local/bin/agy` or update package stubs accordingly.

2. **Flag Updates (`omarchy-agent`):**
   - `agy` uses `--dangerously-skip-permissions` instead of `--yolo` for unattended / auto-approval execution.
   - Interactive prompt passing via `--prompt-interactive "$prompt"` is supported by `agy`.

3. **Menu & Shell Defaults:**
   - Update `omarchy-menu.jsonc` and `omarchy-default-agent` so `agy` / `gemini` points to Antigravity CLI.

4. **Agent Usage Collector (`omarchy-agent-usage-*`):**
   - Provide an `agy` collector reading from `~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/history.jsonl` and session state so the `omarchy.agents` bar widget populates metrics properly.
