Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?
ZFS file system support is a MUST for me. Would prefer Omarchy was installed on top of ZFS, but appreciate the BTRFS compromise.
However installing ZFS support on Omarchy V4 is a bit of a ballache because its not on an LTS kernel so needs experimental flag. Here's how I did it:
sudo pacman -Syu
sudo pacman -S linux-headers dkms
yay -S zfs-dkms zfs-utils
Force the build with experimental support
cd /var/lib/dkms/zfs/$(pacman -Q zfs-dkms | awk '{print $2}' | cut -d- -f1)/build
sudo ./configure \
--disable-dependency-tracking \
--prefix=/usr \
--with-config=kernel \
--with-linux=/usr/lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build \
--with-linux-obj=/usr/lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build \
--enable-linux-experimental
sudo make -C module -j$(nproc)
sudo make -C module install
sudo depmod -a
sudo modprobe zfs
sudo systemctl enable --now zfs-import-cache
sudo systemctl enable --now zfs-import.target
sudo systemctl enable --now zfs-mount
sudo systemctl enable --now zfs.target
sudo systemctl enable --now zfs-zed
WARNING: Using ZFS with kernel 7.1.8-arch1-3 is EXPERIMENTAL and SERIOUS DATA LOSS may occur!
(although that's a stock message even on kernel 6.17)
(it appears rock solid so far)
Be nice if this could be baked in as standard, or as an optional menu install
