ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Network panel: Forget (×) not centered; no Cancel while connectingrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:23 UTC via poll

Summary

Two problems in the built-in Network panel (Super + Ctrl + W / bar network icon):

  1. Bug: Forget (×) is not centered in its hover/background box.
  2. Missing Cancel: While connecting, the panel cannot abort; Forget and other row actions are also blocked until the attempt finishes or times out (~30s).

Issue 1 — Forget (×) not centered

Steps

  1. Open the Network panel.
  2. Find a saved/known Wi-Fi row.
  3. Hover the right-edge lock until it becomes Forget (×).

Expected

× is centered in its hover/background box.

Actual

× is off-center inside that box.

Forget is only available via that hover control (no right-click menu).

Issue 2 — No cancel while connecting; Forget blocked

Steps

  1. Open the Network panel.
  2. Click a network to connect.
  3. While it shows Connecting…:
  • There is no Cancel/Abort.
  • Forget (and other row actions) stay disabled.

Expected

  • A Cancel control that stops the in-flight connection.
  • Prefer also: Forget still available on other saved rows while one SSID is connecting.

Actual

The panel runs one Wi-Fi action at a time (busy while actionKind is set). Row click and Forget are gated on !busy. There is no abort path for an in-flight connect—only success, failure, or the ~30s action timeout.

So: blocking other actions during connect is current panel behavior; the lack of Cancel is a missing affordance. Wrong network / wrong saved password / slow auth leaves the UI stuck until timeout.

Request

  • Add Cancel for in-flight connect (disconnect/deactivate the activation).
  • Optionally keep Forget enabled for non-busy rows during another connect.
