Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Omarchy 4.0.0
What's wrong?
Summary
Changing the default text editor via omarchy menu does not update the corresponding MIME associations in mimeapps.list (/usr/share/omarchy/default/applications/mimeapps.list). As a result, file managers and system handlers continue to open text files with hardcoded nvim.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open omarchy menu with SUPER + SPACE
- Change the default text editor to a different application.
- Inspect
/usr/share/omarchy/applications/mimeapps.list
Expected Behavior
Updating the default editor should write the new default handler into /usr/share/omarchy/applications/mimeapps.list.
Actual Behavior
mimeapps.list remains unchanged with the previous editor entry, ignoring the newly selected default.
