Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Dell Inspiron 15 3520; 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U (4+8) @ 4.40 GHz

What's wrong?

When clicking on the weather plugin on omarchy bar, there's this tiny bug that makes the current location icon () overlap on the current weather state.
It only happens when you pick the smallest text size(9px) on the display section on Bar:

<img width="468" height="477" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5023e2f3-0c47-4fa6-9079-05dfd8a0c329" />

Steps to reproduce

  • Set the text size at the smallest possible on the bar display settings (9px)
  • Click on the weather icon next to the bar clock
  • You should see this bug. It seems to happen depending on your current weather, probably it takes more space at higher temperatures:

<img width="720" height="334" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/9b293881-f034-459e-a348-652841ed4879" />

(You can see the  Location icon overlapping on the °C degrees, next to "Santa Cruz de la Sierra")

  • Similar thing happens when searching for another city:

<img width="667" height="323" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/cd4d983b-86cd-4ebd-9ac7-6500bc94a1b6" />

(In this case, the °C is showed up on top of the search bar)
