Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

About window shifts its content up on every launch
What happens
Opening About (Menu → About) paints the content and then shifts it up by a row, so
the logo appears to jump. It happens on every launch, not just the first.

What was tried
Changing the window height by one text row stops it. Tested by running a copy ofbin/omarchy-launch-about with a single line changed, alternating between stock and
modified, three launches per round:
round 1 stock shifts on all three launches
round 2 +1 row no shift
round 3 stock shifts on all three launches
round 4 +1 row no shiftSame result on three different fonts and two different terminal emulators.
Possible lead
An agent ran tests on this machine and points at the height calculation inbin/omarchy-launch-about:
local target_r=$(( (logo_h + 2 > module_h ? logo_h + 2 : module_h) + 1 ))Changing the trailing + 1 to + 2 is what stops the shifting.
Why the extra row is needed was not determined.
System
Omarchy 4.0.0.r1718.g14dc3a3-1
Terminal: foot (pad=14x14), also seen on Alacritty
Font: CaskaydiaMono Nerd Font, and two others
Custom About logo: 26 rows / 54 columnsView raw text
