Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Mouse scroll becomes weak/low-intensity after long sleep (suspend)revision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:29 UTC via poll

System details

AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 (Radeon 780M / integrated AMD GPU), Omarchy 3.8.2, Hyprland 0.55.2

What's wrong?

After the machine has been in sleep/suspend for a long time, mouse wheel scrolling becomes much less effective when I wake it up. It's as if the scroll intensity/step drops: I have to spin the wheel a lot more than usual to scroll up or down the same amount. Normal scrolling behavior does not come back on its own.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use the machine normally, mouse wheel scrolling works fine.
2. Let the machine sit in sleep/suspend for a long time.
3. Wake it up and try to scroll with the mouse wheel.
4. Scrolling is very weak — each wheel tick moves the content much less than before, so you have to scroll a lot to move up/down.

Extra context:
- Happens across applications, not tied to a single app.
- Only appears after a long sleep; short suspends don't seem to trigger it as noticeably.
- hyprctl devices shows three pointer devices in use (a wired mouse and a Logitech MX Master 3S), all reporting scroll factor: -1.00.

I'll add the output of omarchy-debug if that helps narrow it down.

**Steps to reproduce:**

4. Scrolling is very weak — each wheel tick moves the content much less than before, so you have to scroll a lot to move up/down.

**Extra context:**
- Happens across applications, not tied to a single app.
- Only appears after a *long* sleep; short suspends don't seem to trigger it as noticeably.
- `hyprctl devices` shows three pointer devices in use (a wired mouse and a Logitech MX Master 3S), all reporting `scroll factor: -1.00`.

I'll add the output of `omarchy-debug` if that helps narrow it down.
