Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details
Lenovo Yoga C940-15IRH, x86_64, Omarchy 3.8.2
What's wrong?
After upgrading to 3.8.2 from 3.8.1, the system would not boot due to nvidia driver issues.
The fix is to edit the boot command and add module_blacklist=nvidia,nvidia_drm,nvidia_modeset,nvidia_uvm, this allows the laptop to boot into the desktop. Then I replaced the nvidia-open drivers with the non-open versions:
sudo pacman -Rns nvidia-open-dkms
sudo pacman -S dkms nvidia-dkms nvidia-utils lib32-nvidia-utils
sudo dkms autoinstall
sudo mkinitcpio -PAfter that, the drivers are working:
~ ❯ dkms status && modinfo nvidia | head

softdep: pre: ecdh_generic,ecdsa_genericMy laptop is very old, so I am not surprised that I am having issues, but it is annoying to fix. I am not sure what the solution is to fix this, maybe there is some way to identify that my generation of nvidia gpu is not supported by the nvidia-open-dkms driver.
