Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

RTX A-series (e.g. RTX A5000) not detected by nvidia.sh → drivers skipped, login looprevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:29 UTC via poll

The NVIDIA detection logic in install/config/hardware/nvidia.sh
does not match workstation GPUs such as RTX A5000.

lspci reports these cards as "NVIDIA RTX A5000", which does not
match the current regex:

RTX [2-9][0-9]|GTX 16

As a result, proprietary NVIDIA drivers are not installed and the
system boots to SDDM but the user cannot log in.

Suggested fix (safe for consumer GPUs):

RTX (A[0-9]{4}|[2-9][0-9])|GTX 16

This preserves RTX 20+ and GTX 16 detection while correctly handling
RTX A-series workstation cards.
