Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
"MES failed to response to msg=MISC" -> hard reset required.

System details
AMD HX370, 890M, Omarchy 3.3.3
What's wrong?
Since updating on the weekend (update -> omarchy), the system can crash where the displays are still on, but not input is registered (bluetooth mouse, dongle keyboard, usb keyboard). I tried to switch to a different tty to troubleshoot but nothing was being picked up.
It only seems to happen when Chromium is open (I have the bitwarden extension only). It can be fine for hours, or it can crash in minutes.
The output from journalctl -b -1 shows:

Jan 27 16:54:45 hive-a9max kernel: amdgpu 0000:c6:00.0: amdgpu: failed to reg_write_reg_waitWhen I've left it in that state for longer, I can also see ring buffer is full errors in the journalctl. It's not something I can just trigger to get logs.
I've set kernel paramters to amdgpu.mes=0 as a suggested workaround. I've not seen it happen again since doing that but it's not been long and I've only had this single chrome tab open since booting. Whether that's what I need to do until further kernel updates and see if they resolve the issue I'm not sure.
