Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Framework 13 AI 370

What's wrong?

Updated to the newest Omarchy 3.3 and enabled suspend. I first tested suspending and waking up immediately after, which worked without issue.

I then took a photo of the battery level -- 72% -- hit suspend and closed the machine and went to sleep. I had no applications running at sleep except Chromium.

This morning the machine would not wake from sleep with any key presses, pressing the power button, etc. It needed a long-press hard poweroff. Upon boot, the battery had drained to 18%.

So it appears:

  1. On Framework 13 AMD system, suspend does not reliably wake up
  2. Even were it to, battery drained heavily in sleep -- I would expect a small drain, but not 50%.

Appreciate the efforts to bring suspend to our systems. Happy to continue testing.
