Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Cannot record audio via built in stereo microphonerevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:29 UTC via poll

System details

AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, AMD Radeon 860M Graphics, Omarchy 3.2.3, Kernel 6.17.9-arch1-1

What's wrong?

I have microphone-problems:
In the omarchy-hyprland session I can't use the built in stereo microphone, since the wrong one (dmic) is always set as default, and only this one is visible to apps like signal and so on...
- digital microphone (dmic) is always set as default but does not record anything,
- I cannot set the built in stereo-mic as default - it always switches back to dmic
- exception: audacity is able to record audio via stereo mic.
- all the other apps are not seeing the stereo mic.

I checked xdg-portals - they seem to be right and started in the right order.

I also tried to overwrite wireplumber/pipewire-settings but it doesn't do anything.

Is there any solution?

I also checked an Ubuntu-live-system - everything works perfectly fine over there. So there must be a fix that I just can't find.

I'd be glad if someone would have a suggestion...thanks for your help.
