Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?
I searched for this issue and couldn't seem to find anyone else talking about it, so I apologize if I'm creating a duplicate.
Steps I take to produce this behavior each and every time:
- Open Chromium to the theme-picker web page via the install/style/theme menu option
- Use Super+t to turn the launcher into a tiled window so it stops obscuring that web page
- Open one of the theme links in a new tab
- Try to click the new tab to activate it - screen flashes, and control instantly goes back to the first tab
- Move the mouse away from the tab bar entirely
- Type Ctrl-2 to switch to the second tab - sometimes need to do it a second or third time, but it eventually brings up the tab
- Move mouse up to anywhere on the tab bar (even blank space at far right) - focus immediately switches back to the first tab again
It looks like it wants to switch to my second tab when I click on the tab, because the second tab's contents flash briefly before sending focus back to the first tab. It's as if something is deliberately telling it to undo the action that I just took.
If this is not a bug (Brave's Leo claims that this is intentional), this is not going to work for me. I regularly have many times more tabs open than 10, and it would be remarkably frustrating to have the browser constantly switching focus back to tab 1 every time I accidentally move the mouse over the tab bar. It gives me the feeling that I can't trust my computer to not do something wildly unexpected. I'm not sure why anyone would want to force keyboard-only tab switching, since 90%+ of what we do on a web page requires the mouse, so I'm really hoping this is a bug that can be fixed, or some kind of configuration setting that I can turn off.
I would attach the output of omarchy-debug, but Omarchy is installed on my laptop, and I'm typing this on my desktop machine. I didn't want to attempt to write-up this issue on the laptop just based on how frustrating the experience of using Chromium is on that machine.
Also, the output of omarchy-debug flickers like crazy so long as the mouse pointer is hovering over the terminal. It doesn't appear to matter whether I use a wireless mouse, a wired mouse, or the built-in touchpad in the laptop. When I move the mouse pointer away from the terminal window, the flickering stops. Not sure what that's all about. I'm wondering if it's related to the browser tab issue, because this also looks like forcing something to change what it's doing when a mouse pointer is present.
Could this be a mouse driver issue?
