What's wrong?

However, when they're signed into separate profiles, it appears that only one, in this case the one I'm signed into my Google Apps account with, updates.

I achieved this by choosing to connect my Google Profile for Google Apps then choosing to keep my data separate. That gave me the original profile with no account and this second one to repeat this issue with.
