Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

(Qt) apps blurry after re-opening laptop lidrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:29 UTC via poll

System details

Framework 13 laptop AMD Ryzen 7040Series

What's wrong?

The window contents of some applications is blurry when laptop screen is re-opened. It may be limited to applications using the Qt gui toolkit, e.g. Sublime Text.

How to reproduce

  1. Install Sublime Text: Omarchy menu -> Install -> Editor -> Sublime Text
  2. Open a text document in Sublime Text. Keep Sublime Text the only window in the workspace, it makes it easier to see the problem clearly.
  3. Notice the sharpness of the text, window contents. Increase font size in the editor if necessary.
  4. Close the laptop lid, causing Omarchy to lock / suspend the computer.
  5. Re-open the lid and unlock the computer.
  6. Notice how the application window contents looks blurry, including the menu and other widgets.

Remarks

  • Seems to be limited to Qt based applications, other applications like terminals and whatnot seem unaffected.
  • Seems to be triggered by physically closing the lid and re-opening, as in "physically disconnecting the monitor and reconnecting it". Does not happen when doing a "Lock" or "Suspend" from the menu without closing the lid.
  • Given the triggering event seemingly be "remove monitor" then "add monitor" may be Wayland or Hyprland related.
