Project overview

Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Dual Monitor Support is Buggyrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-01 10:23 UTC via poll

System details

HP EliteBook 840 G4 running Arch Linux (x86_64) with Omarchy’s Linux 7.2.5-3 kernel and Hyprland. It has an Intel Core i7-7500U CPU, 16 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620 plus AMD Radeon discrete graphics

What's wrong?

there is no easy solution to the multi desktop setup in omarchi for dual monitors omarchi treats one monitor as one desktop and even if you connect a second monitor to your laptop the system only recognizes it as a separate desktop so I asked my agent to change my desktops so that when I connect my monitor desktop 1 is my main monitor and desktop 6 is my external monitor. 2 and 7, 3 and 8. You get the idea. this worked well for a while but then I found another issue sometimes when I move my google chrome window or any terminal window from desktop 1 to 6 it does not show up at 6 it just vanishes and if it's a chrome tab that I moved like this if there's a video running the video playback is there the video sound is being outputted which means that chrome window has just disappeared but it's still running in the background.
