Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

ryzen 5600x with nvidia 3060 12 gb variant with 32 gb of ram

What's wrong?

Thanks for following up.

I’ve actually been asked to collect similar diagnostics before, and I went through those checks as well, but unfortunately nothing clearly suspicious or unique to my system was found. I also used several coding/AI agents such as OpenCode, Gemini, and Pi to investigate the issue from different angles, but we still couldn’t identify anything obviously wrong on my side.

At this point, I’m wondering if this could be a deeper glitch involving Omarchy’s shell/Quickshell interaction rather than something specific to my configuration. It may also be worth checking whether other users are experiencing something similar.

As a user, what I’d really like to see is a deeper review of the relevant configs, Quickshell code, tray handling, layer/hit-testing logic, and any other parts of the shell that could potentially cause the right-side click areas to become misaligned after a tray item disappears.

Rather than continuing to troubleshoot only from my machine, I’d appreciate it if the relevant code/configuration could be reviewed more thoroughly and, if possible, a more robust fix could be included in a future update.

I’m happy to provide the requested hyprctl layers and journalctl output again when the issue occurs, but so far the previous investigation hasn’t revealed anything clearly specific to my setup.
