Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Feature request: choose the preferred internet connection when multiple network adapters are connectedrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-02 10:20 UTC via poll

Use case

I use two separate internet connections: one through Ethernet and another through USB-C. When both are connected at the same time, I would like to choose which connection Omarchy uses for internet access directly from the network panel.

Current experience

In my experience, the network panel appears to present only one network adapter, with no clear way to view both connections or select the preferred one.

Requested behavior

It would be helpful if the network panel could:

  • List all available network adapters and their connection status.
  • Clearly indicate which connection is currently being used for internet access.
  • Let the user select the preferred internet connection while both adapters remain plugged in.
  • Make it easy to switch back to the other connection when needed.

The goal is a simple way to switch between available internet connections without unplugging cables or manually configuring network routing.

Thank you for considering this improvement.
