Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details
System configuration Dual-boot setup: Windows 11 and Omarchy Omarchy is installed on its own dedicated partition (approximately 800 GB) on a Samsung 990 Pro SSD. Desktop hardware: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, 64 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3060 (12 GB). The Omarchy installation and all keybindings worked normally before the latest full system update. The issue appeared after updating Omarchy and rebooting. I have not established whether the dual-boot configuration is relevant to this issue.
What's wrong?
After a full system update, most default Omarchy Super keybindings stopped working.
Before the update, everything worked normally.
Still working:
- Super+1
- Super+2
- Super+3
- Super+4
- Super+5
Not working:
- Super+Space — Omarchy menu
- Super+K — keybinding cheatsheet
- Super+Return — terminal
Important observation:omarchy menu keybindings --print only shows:
- SHIFT ALT + D — Download Video from Web App
- SHIFT ALT + L — Copy URL from Web App
The normal Omarchy Super bindings are missing from the printed binding list.
Other checks:
- ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua exists and contains the normal Omarchy user override template.
- I have not intentionally disabled the default bindings.
- Refreshing/resetting the Hyprland config did not restore them.
- Hyprland starts normally.
- Workspace Super bindings still work.
Versions:
- omarchy: 4.0.4-1
- omarchy-settings: 4.0.4-1
- linux-omarchy: 7.2.5-3
- linux-omarchy-headers: 7.2.5-3
- Hyprland: 0.56.2
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start from a working Omarchy installation.
2. Run a full system update.
3. Reboot.
4. Test Super+Space, Super+K and Super+Return.
5. These no longer work, while Super+1 through Super+5 still switch workspaces.
Expected:
The normal Omarchy default Super bindings should remain available after the update.
Actual:
Only workspace Super bindings appear to remain active.
