ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Hyprlock segmentation fault (2025, Arch, iMac 2013)revision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:26 UTC via poll

Hi,
I'm experiencing a segmentation fault when launching hyprlock on my system. Here's all the relevant information I could gather. If I launch it using SUPER+Esc, nothing happens; the screen doesn't lock.

System Info:
Distro: Arch Linux (latest as of July 20, 2025)
Kernel: 6.15.7-arch1-1
Hardware: iMac (Late 2013), x86_64
Omarchy: Up to date (omarchy-update reports no local changes)
Hyprlock version: v0.9.0

Problem:
When I run hyprlock --verbose, I get a series of config errors followed by a segmentation fault.

hyprlock --verbose
Hyprlock version v0.9.0
[ERR] Config has errors:
Config error in file /home/tlucas/.config/hypr/hyprlock.conf at line 8: config option <general:disable_loading_bar> does not exist.
Config error in file /home/tlucas/.config/hypr/hyprlock.conf at line 9: config option <general:no_fade_in> does not exist.

kmsro: driver missing
libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen
...
[ERR] [core] Couldn't find a render node
...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

The crash occurs even when I comment out all unsupported config options.
My GPU is the Intel HD Graphics 5000 (built-in to the 2013 iMac), which may be part of the problem—missing render node, kmsro, etc.
The issue appears related to egl and dmabuf initialization (based on logs and eglQueryDmaBufModifiersEXT failing).
Hyprland itself starts normally and works fine, so this seems specific to hyprlock

Aditional commands:

uname -a
Linux omarchy 6.15.7-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu, 17 Jul 2025 21:05:29 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
