Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Bare installs Chromium, web2app only supports Chromiumrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:26 UTC via poll

First, thank you for all of the work on this great project. I really like the introduction of the "bare" option.

The problem is that even with the bare option, we still install Chromium. This can of course be uninstalled and keybindings updated to the browser of choice (Brave), but doing so also breaks the web2app function and any previously created desktop entries as this feature only support Chromium.

Possible solutions:
- An interactive choice of Brave or Chromium on install, which could then be reflected in the web2app function.
- Bare doesn't install Chromium and web2app has an additional argument (optional) to pass your chromium based browser

Brave's ad-blocking is really helpful for media apps so it would be really cool to see web2app support Brave.

Also, I would be willing to implement this if any of these ideas are of interest. Thank you!
