Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Original report
The documentation to add a new keyboard layout is not correct.
Omarchy uses fcitx5, which ignores Hyperland's kb_layout setting. Adding new keyboard layouts there doesn't change anything.
fcitx5 provides a GUI to add a new keyboard layout via the package fcitx5-configtool, but that package was removed in PR #246.
Currently, if you open Configuration via fcitx5, it will just open the configuration folder.
I propose to either add back fcitx5-configtool or mention it in the docs.

The [documentation to add a new keyboard](https://manuals.omamix.org/2/the-omarchy-manual/67/faq?search=keyboard+input#how-do-i-switch-between-keyboard-layouts) layout is not correct. Omarchy uses `fcitx5`, which ignores Hyperland's `kb_layout` setting. Adding new keyboard layouts there doesn't change anything. `fcitx5` provides a GUI to add a new keyboard layout via the package `fcitx5-configtool`, but that package was removed in [PR #246](https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/pull/246/files#diff-fca1ada6505a94d944b0950dcf2468b2fb183296a097e66d4a910dd552932d6a).
