Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
Post-update reboot check only considers the linux package, not linux-lts

Original report
In the omarchy-update script, the final check to determine if a system reboot is needed is hardcoded to compare the running kernel against the pacman version of the linux package.
This causes incorrect behavior for users who run an alternative kernel, such as linux-lts (I am personally on lts). The script prompts for a reboot whenever the linux package is updated, even if the user's running kernel (linux-lts) was not updated.
The current implementation is:
# Offer to reboot if the kernel has been changed
if [ "$(uname -r | sed 's/-arch/\.arch/')" != "$(pacman -Q linux | awk '{print $2}')" ]; then
gum confirm "Linux kernel has been updated. Reboot?" && sudo reboot now
