Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

CPU usage spikes when moving the mouserevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:27 UTC via poll

Hi

System:
VM running in XCP-ng
GPU: PCI passthrough of the GPU: Nvidia 3080 (so it should get the full performance)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5950X (12 vcores)
RAM: 8GB

Installed fresh.

Resolution of 4K120hz, [email protected], but happens too at 4K60fps which is the default after an install.

.config/hypr/monitors.conf
Virtual-1 is the virtual display that xcp-ng generates

env = GDK_SCALE,1.75
monitor=Virtual-1,disable
monitor=HDMI-A-1,[email protected],auto,16667

I disabled the virtual display editing /boot/loader/entries/*.conf
and appending to options the following video=Virtual-1:d

In hyprctl monitors all only the main display appears

I attach a video of what is happening, you can see it's mostly smooth but the cpu usage spike like crazy the second i start moving it, specially switching panes:
https://youtu.be/Wqq_r8sACjg

Maybe this is more of an Hyprland issue?

this is a feature not a bug to discourage mouse use /s
