Original report
Describe the bug
When selecting a file to upload from a web browser (e.g., Chromium/Firefox) under Omarchy (Hyprland), the file chooser dialog is extremely outdated — it looks like a GTK2 file picker instead of the modern GTK4/libadwaita dialog.
Steps to reproduce
Boot into Omarchy (Hyprland).
Open Chromium or Firefox.
Go to any website with a file upload form (e.g., Google Drive, GitHub file upload).
Click “Upload file”.
Observe that the file chooser is a very old GTK2-style dialog.
Expected behavior
The system should use the modern GTK4/libadwaita file chooser (via xdg-desktop-portal-gtk or xdg-desktop-portal-gnome) instead of falling back to GTK2.
What I tried
Installed xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland and xdg-desktop-portal-gtk.
Also tried xdg-desktop-portal-gnome.
Restarted xdg-desktop-portal* services and relogged.
Still getting the old GTK2 file chooser.
System info
Distro: Omarchy (Hyprland-based)
DE/WM: Hyprland
Relevant packages installed: xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland, xdg-desktop-portal-gtk, xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
Browser tested: Chromium, Firefox

Additional context
Seems like Omarchy might not be wiring up the correct xdg-desktop-portal backend, so apps fall back to legacy GTK2 dialogs.
