Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
I'm not very knowledgeable about the intricacies of Linux so excuse my ignorance if this is expected behavior on Omarchy/Hyprland/Arch/etc., but some apps like GParted and Fedora Media Writer don't open. I install them with Omarchy's package installer TUI and they install fine, however they fail to open or at least be displayed as a window. The solution I found on the internet is installing the package "xorg-xhost" and running the command "xhost +local:" in Terminal and opening the application. However they then get displayed with very small text and UI on a pixel-dense display.
Thanks.
Edit: It seems like the issue with Fedora Media Writer is a separate issue, but I don't need that app anymore when gnome-disc-utility works fine anyway.
