Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Summary
When aur.archlinux.org is down or unreachable, the Omarchy Packages menu blocks on yay’s AUR RPC call. The UI shows an empty buffer and never progresses. We should detect AUR unreachability quickly and maybe fall back to repo-only operations. At the very least surface a clear message.
Environment
- Arch Linux (kernel 6.16.1-arch1-1)
- NVIDIA dkms 580.76.05 (not relevant, just context)
- AUR unreachable from network at the time:
curl -I --max-time 5 'https://aur.archlinux.org/rpc?v=5&type=info&arg[]=yay'
# -> curl: (28) Connection timed out after 5001 milliseconds
yay -Syu
# -> request failed ... dial tcp 95.217.244.97:443: i/o timeoutSteps to Reproduce
- Open Omarchy -> Packages menu.
- Trigger any action that queries AUR (search/install/update).
- If AUR is unreachable, the menu appears but stays blank.
