A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

[Omarchy 2.0] Theme not applied correctly when changing theme while nvim is runningrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:27 UTC via poll

When switching theme when nvim is opened, the theme does not seem to be properly applied.

In the video below, you see that I am changing theme to Catppuccin Latte and I am getting a unnatural line highlighting on the current line. When closing nvim and restarting it again, the theme is correctly rendered. If you change back to a theme that was rendered before then the original theme is correctly applied

The impact of this is even stronger when you change the theme while using FZF in nvim for e.g. searching text (g) or opening a file through searching text:

Again, restarting nvim makes fixes the issue. As a side note, the light themes are not very readable when using FZF for text or file search with nvim.
