ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Issue

OOTB after suspending the Wi-Fi remains powered off for my laptop (Lenovo Yoga), and there doesn't seem to be any way of powering it back on without doing a full restart of the system.
I had faced a similar issue when I was running Fedora, and I found a working solution on - https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/wifi-stops-working-after-sleep-after-f41-upgrade/135459/1

Applying the same fix on Omarchy fixed the wifi issue after suspend.

Fix

  1. Create file /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/iwlwifi.sh
  2. Make it exceuctable using chmod +x

iwlwifi.sh

#!/bin/sh

case $1/$2 in
    pre/*)
        echo "[*] Stopping network services..."
        systemctl stop NetworkManager
        systemctl stop wpa_supplicant

        echo "[*] Unloading iwlwifi modules..."
        modprobe -r iwlmld iwlmvm iwlwifi
        ;;
    post/*)
        echo "[*] Reloading iwlwifi modules..."
        modprobe iwlmld iwlmvm iwlwifi

        echo "[*] Starting network services..."
        systemctl start wpa_supplicant
        systemctl start NetworkManager
