Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
Good Morning
Just converting over from Fedora running i3wm for my primary desktop machine. Some local people on my local slack had been posting about omarcy and i tried it out on an HP chromebox and liked it so I finally wiped Fedora off and installed on my other minipc.
Long long time linux user, since 1997 - so i've been around the block a time or two. Finally made the move to wayland with omarchy, welcome to 2025
Anyway, I was reminded this morning why I moved off arch to fedora several years ago. I was tinkering this morning to try to get a couple options I am missing from i3wm, such as a scratchpad - I had a background instance of wezterm running which I could switch to with mod+z and I'm finding that I am missing that most at the moment.
I think the last things I installed this morning were pyprland via yay and python-pip with pacman. I rebooted it got dropped to a rescue type shell where it was complaining about a missing /sbin/init ... tried a few of the work arounds that I could find while googling on my iphone - added a kernel parameter to the kernel boot line, but that did not work as it then could not find systemd either ....
Being my primary desktop all I could do was reinstall and start back over, almost from scratch. The only thing that saved my bacon was that I had changed /home to mount to a second (larger) disk - so as far as all of my configs and everything, those were still all in place - now I am just reinstalling packages as I need them.
I've got the following omarchy iso , I don't see where theres a version attached to it, so maybe the md5sum might tell you exactly what version it is?
987b9e6b0e8d5505640f0d58165030aa /mnt/omarchy-online.iso
Anyway, if there was some kind of rescue on the iso it would be great.
e.g. if it sees omarcy already installed maybe an option to prompt for the luks password to mount and check out the system and maybe try to reinstall grub or something.
