Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Missing `yay` and slow Hyperland shortcuts after upgrading from 1.1.3 to 2.1.2revision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:35 UTC via poll

System details

i5, AMD Radeon, Omarchy 2.1.2

What's wrong?

I just upgraded from 1.1.3 to 2.1.2 with omarchy-update, fixed missing Walker, but:

  • All Hyprland shortcuts take ~2s to load. The desktop itself is responsive.
  • yay is also missing for some reason.

Any ideas what to look for? Is it safe to rebuild yay without breaking stuff?
