Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Installer hangs without feedback if the Wi-Fi password is incorrectrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:35 UTC via poll

System details

15" MacBook Pro 2015

What's wrong?

As mentioned in #1709, because I thought I was typing in Dvorak, I got my Wi-Fi password wrong.

But instead of getting an error and the opportunity to try again, nothing happened. Even after several minutes.

I had assumed maybe it was downloading something or some task was running but, nope, it was just hung.

Ideally, I'd like:
1. Don't bother masking the Wi-Fi password, or have an option to unmask it (it's a secret to everybody, after all)
2. An immediate status indication - "attempting to authenticate to Wi-Fi ... [success|timeout|error]"
3. A loop where if the Wi-Fi password is incorrect I can try entering the password again or selecting a different password.
