Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?
As I was inspecting t2linux support I found two issues:
1. Removal of t2fanrd: Those T2 Macs are well known for overheating with its abysmal defaykt fan curve and bad thermal design. t2fanrd was created to mitigate those issues by having a way to control fans from Linux side. Removal would cause worse thermal performance.
2. Removal of tiny-dfr: Unless you enable "simple mode" via kernel cmdline, which is known to have problem with LUKS for some reason, tiny-dfr is REQUIRED for Touch Bar function row. (and ESC for older MacBook Pros)
P.S. We at t2linux does have no Hyprland support policy so please don't bring any other issues caused by using Omarchy to us please.
