Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Easier audio recording flow?revision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:35 UTC via poll

What do you need?

The one thing that chafes for me with Linux is recording any sort of audio recording with a high quality microphone. Anything in this space feels like you're thrown back to using slackware in 2003.

I currently use a separate laptop for recording youtube videos, doing podcast interviews, meetings etc, because it's such a hassle to set up microphone filters and so on to not get my high quality mic to pick up nighmare ASMR with breathing noises, swallowing noises, etc.

Fixing this in Linux either requires a PhD in some very janky audio jack software, or an equally janky setup where you route all the audio through OBS and then, after getting a MSc in pipewire, set up a virtual microphone. Streamlining this somehow would be a very nice feature for people who occasionally need to dabble in audio recording.
