Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Discrepancy in System Information Displayed by 'About' App vs. Terminal fastfetchrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:35 UTC via poll

System details

Omarchy v3.0.1

What's wrong?

Description

I've noticed an inconsistency in the system information displayed by the Omarchy 'About' application when compared to running the fastfetch command directly in the terminal.

Expected Behavior

The system information displayed by the 'About' application should be identical to the output of the fastfetch command.

Actual Behavior

The 'About' application displays several pieces of incorrect information. Based on the attached screenshot, the key discrepancies are:

  • Terminal: The 'About' app incorrectly reports alacritty, while the direct fastfetch command correctly shows ghostty.
  • Font: The 'About' app incorrectly reports alacritty, while the direct fastfetch command correctly shows JetBrainsMono Nerd Font Mono.

The output from the terminal (fastfetch) is the correct one.
