Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Omarchy v3.0.1

What's wrong?

Related to !1535

I wanted to try setting up no password on the drive encryption.
Thought to myself what if my home desktop didn't actually need this layer of security.
Turns out this completely bricks the machine as you can't pass an empty input to the login decryption window.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Setup Omarchy as usual
2. Go to Update -> Password -> Drive Encryption
3. Enter sudo password
4. Enter current encryption passphrase
5. On the "Enter new passphrase:" and "Verify passphrase:" just submit empty input
6. Reboot

Setup on a VM in 1m 45s btw, what a feat!
