Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
System details
Intel i5-11400F 11th, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, Omarch-3.0.1
What's wrong?
Potential bug
I successfully installed omarchy-3.0.1.iso on a VirtualBox. However, when I used MediaWriter to create a live USB and attempted to install it on a physical machine, the boot process failed, leaving me with a black screen. note: without prior installation of Arch Linux, perhaps that was causing the bug.
- Secure Boot : Disabled
- CSM : UEFI only
- Fast Boot : Disabled
Before the BIOS, press the (e) key several times to enter editor mode, where you can modify the boot parameters. Then, on the first option, “Arch Linux install medium (x86_64, UEFI),” press the e key again, which will display the following: ``archisobasedir=arc archisosearch uuid=... quiet splash` Next, you need to add `nomodeset`` and press Enter.
The OMARCHY installer will splash in to screen 🥳🤩
