Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
System details
Razer Blade Stealth 13 (2019, GTX 1650 hybrid GPU), nvidia-dkms 550.82.09
What's wrong?
I've tried everything...
- Initial install: Booted ISO, base system installed fine. On login → black screen, suspend.
- Drivers: Installed nvidia-dkms, linux-headers, rebuilt initramfs (limine-mkinitcpio). Confirmed nvidia-smi works. Suspend persists.
- Systemd targets:
- multi-user.target (TTY only) = stable.
- graphical.target = immediate suspend.
- Masked sleep.target, hibernate.target, suspend.target and edited logind.conf to ignore lid events → no change.
- Display managers:
- GDM → failed to start, suspend loop.
- SDDM + GNOME/Plasma → stable desktop, but double-login when Omarchy seamless-login is enabled.
- Omarchy script (curl -fsSL https://omarchy.org/install | bash) installs configs, but Hyprland sessions (via seamless-login or dbus-run-session Hyprland) instantly suspend.
Observations:
- GNOME/Plasma sessions on Intel GPU are stable.
- Only Hyprland/Omarchy sessions trigger immediate suspend.
- Blacklisting NVIDIA modules does not help.
- Issue appears tied to ACPI/EC events on this Razer model + Wayland/Hyprland startup.
Expected: Hyprland session should launch normally.
Actual: System instantly suspends/hibernates at Hyprland startup.
