Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?

It was working on Windows 11. Probably an issue with drivers on Arch.

Response:

Setting up fingerprint scanner for authentication.

warning: usbutils-018-1 is up to date -- skipping
 there is nothing to do

Let's setup your right index finger as the first fingerprint.
Keep moving the finger around on sensor until the process completes.

Impossible to enroll: GDBus.Error:net.reactivated.Fprint.Error.NoSuchDevice: No devices available

Enrollment failed. Please try again.

Debug

lsusb | grep 06cb:009a
Bus 001 Device 008: ID 06cb:009a Synaptics, Inc. Metallica MIS Touch Fingerprint Reader

I tried https://github.com/uunicorn/python-validity, but it only supports one finger and doesn’t work consistently on login for me. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.
