Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Super + Space and Omarchy Menu button stops working randomly after upgrading to v3.0.2revision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:35 UTC via poll

System details

Asus ProArt13 - AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU + AMD Radeo 890M, Omarchy v3.0.2

What's wrong?

After upgrading to version v3.0.2, the application launcher (Super + Space) and the Omarchy Menu button will randomly stop working. The issue does not seem to be triggered by a specific action it just happens randomly when I try to open a new app and the laucnher doesn't show up. The only way to restore functionality is to reboot the system.

I am new to Linux and would be happy to provide any necessary log files. If anyone can provide instructions on which commands/file location to run and gather the relevant logs, I will update this issue with them.
