System details

Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060, Omarchy 3.0.2

What's wrong?

similar to https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/issues/1924 .
I am getting error when installing ed25519 (1.3.0).

using ruby version 3.3.4

error I get

bundle install
Fetching gem metadata from https://rubygems.org/........
Installing ed25519 1.3.0 with native extensions
Gem::Ext::BuildError: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.

I have installed gcc14
sudo pacman -S gcc14

i have put the following in a .mise.local.toml file

[settings.ruby]
ruby_build_opts = "CC=gcc-14 CXX=g++-14"

but still get the same error.

if I change ruby version to 3.4.6 then it all works.

is this just a thing that needs to be accepted or should it work for older versions of ruby?
any assistance appreciated.
