Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details
Omarchy v3.0.2, Dell Inspiron 14 5440 with Realtek RTL8852BU, Dell MS5320W Bluetooth mouse
What's wrong?
Problem:
Bluetooth mouse disconnects and reconnects precisely every 2 minutes with firmware version 0x098b154b:
.rw-r--r-- 60k root 17 Sep 15:51 rtl8852bu_fw.bin.zst
Kernel Error:
Bluetooth: hci0: ACL packet for unknown connection handle 16
Root Cause:
Newer firmware version 0x098b154b has a regression. Older firmware 0x0474842d (from Ubuntu 22.04) works perfectly without disconnections.
Reproduction:
1. Use default Omarchy firmware (rtl8852bu_fw.bin.zst - version 0x098b154b)
2. Pair Dell MS5320W mouse
3. Mouse disconnects every ~2 minutes exactly
4. Error appears in dmesg consistently
Workaround:
Replace compressed firmware with uncompressed version 0x0474842d from Ubuntu 22.04/Pop!_OS 22.04. Problem completely resolved.
Testing:
Also tested on CachyOS (kernel 6.16.5) - same problem, same solution works.
Tested on Pop!_OS 22.04 (kernel 6.16.3) - works perfectly with older firmware.
