Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Waybar proposal: only restart waybar if its already running when switching themesrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:42 UTC via poll

What do you need?

the issue

If we have Waybar toggled off (super+shift+space), and then switch themes (omarchy-set-theme), waybar will be spawned here.

I'd argue the UX is not ideal: if the user had waybar off, we should trust they meant it.

proposal

when switching theme:
only run omarchy-restart-waybar if pgrep waybar

### What do you need?

### the issue

If we have Waybar toggled off (`super+shift+space`), and then switch themes (`omarchy-set-theme`), waybar will be spawned [here](https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/blob/master/bin/omarchy-theme-set#L27-L27).

I'd argue the UX is not ideal: if the user had waybar off, we should trust they meant it.
