Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Omarchy 3.1.1

What's wrong?

I changed $PATH in $HOME/.bashrc. And I found that they've been added twice in $PATH.
My workaround is to add the following guard at the beginning of $HOME/.bashrc file but after source ~/.local/share/omarchy/default/bash/rc:

if [[ -n "$BASHRC_LOADED" ]]; then
  return
fi
export BASHRC_LOADED=1

Then I found that each of the path I added occurs only once in $PATH. But $HOME/.local/bin occurs twice still. I found it's added in $HOME/.local/share/omarchy/default/bash/shell. So I guess it's also sourced twice?

I didn't find the root cause of the reason why $HOME/.bashrc was sourced twice.

This is a simple way to check whether there is a duplicate in your $PATH:

echo $PATH | tr ':' '\n' | sort
