Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?

I have been enjoying Omarchy. Thanks for a great Distro. One thing that has been a bit challenging is maintaining configuration changes after updates. Moving to the latest version (3.1.0) seems to have caused some strange issues.

super+enter (I use Kitty) stopped working. Super-space, and super-shift-space stopped working as well. I looked around online and found the post below. I use zsh do doubt this is the (exact) same issue but, interestingly, when I go into tty and run "sudo systemctl restart sddm", the keybindings in hyprland works as expected.

I have seen others mention issues with super+space and super+shift+space but they (e.g., related to locale) but nothing seems to quite match the issue I'm seeing.
